About

'Arctic Opposites' permanent exhibition at Finland's Arktikum Museum offers an immersive exploration of Arctic life through interactive exhibits showcasing northern culture, Sámi heritage, and climate change in the arctic Rovaniemi region.

Challenge

Creative innovative exhibits means that you often create something that has never been made before. This requires a lot of testing and tinkering. In partnership with Gagarin and Kvorning, this project was very enjoyable.

Those exhibits were: Animal Tracks, which reveals Arctic wildlife facts through touch-screen interaction, and Snowflake, where visitors create unique snowflakes by adjusting environmental conditions.

Highlight

It is our heartfelt priority to ensure that exhibits are highly accessible. A great example of this is the interactive Snowflake attraction, where visitors can design their own snowflake by adjusting temperature and humidity. We have created control panels at different heights to make the attraction comfortable to use for children, adults, and visitors in wheelchairs.
