The Bremerhaven Maritime Museum explores ships as more than vessels—they are symbols of human achievement, economic systems, and our evolving relationship with the oceans. A central large installation of the museum is a research vessel that showcases maritime research equipment and data collection processes.
The exhibition's "Ship and Equipment" section examines research vessels through immersive experiments, highlighting how maritime interactions shape human-ocean relationships. It critically explores technological innovations and the impact of human activity on marine environments, encouraging visitors to consider how we can restore oceanic balance.
From technological achievements to economic systems, the museum invites reflection on humanity's complex maritime journey, presenting ships as powerful narratives of innovation, exploration, and environmental responsibility.
The main challenge of building the exhibition for the Bremerhaven Maritime Museum came from the large-scale production of glass vitrines. Due to their vast size, some of the vitrines exploded in production. This meant we had to change our approach to vitrine production, and we came up with a new method of glueing the vitrines.
The Estonian Agricultural Museum’s new permanent exhibition “Symphony in the Barn” explores the importance of farm animal welfare through the metaphor of music. It asks: what conditions must humans create so that animals are healthy and calm—so that they “play together” like a skilfully conducted orchestra?
The German Pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka is dedicated to a central theme for shaping our future: the circular economy.
